The Question to Power Yourself Up For New Possibilities This Year
Sharon was always available when people called her to help. In fact, she was so available she found she didn’t have time for herself and her own needs.
Sharon was a highly creative person, but she wasn’t expressing it in a way she felt was meaningful in her life. Sharon was exhausted at the end of each day from all she did. She also felt an undercurrent of resentment growing within because it seemed no one appreciated her or was available to her in the way she was for them.
Eventually, she began to have unexplained muscle aches, constant fatigue and felt irritated much of the time, snapping at her family and people close to her. She was fed up with her life and desperately wanted to feel better.
By the time Sharon came to me, she had made a decision that something needed to change. We worked together to address some of the beliefs that were keeping her stuck. She started to have a deeper understanding of her gifts and inherent value. Sharon made a decision that she deserved to be healthy and a commitment that she needed to come first. She began making her self-care a priority. She did this by honoring her commitment moment by moment. She learned that saying no to others when she was guided to could mean strengthening her boundaries and saying yes to herself.
With this newfound strength, Sharon’s self-esteem and her clear connection to her Higher Guidance and trust in it grew. She is now feeling better – physically, mentally and emotionally – than she has in years. Sharon is traveling and re-visiting activities she enjoys helping to put her in touch with her joy and Divine Purpose.
This all started with a decision… a decision to make herself important in her own life; because what you spend time on subconsciously translates into what is important to you. When you don’t spend time or effort on your own self-care, it sends the subconscious message to you and others that you aren’t important. This can quickly erode your self-esteem and sense of self-worth. Taking a stand for yourself by making a decision powers you up energetically for what is possible. It also begins to activate a new reality. It changes everything. This week, ask yourself “What is the decision I need to make for 2012 to be my best year?”
