The First Step on the Path to Freedom
When we first met, Brenda was very frustrated. She felt defeated, discourages and did know how to get out of the rut she felt like she was in with her business.
She knew she had really important gifts to share and was good at what she did, but she couldn’t get enough clients. She asked, “What am I doing wrong?!”
It turns out Brenda wasn’t offering any packages. People didn’t know how to buy from her. Her single sessions didn’t lead from one to the next, so she was constantly looking for new clients. She hated marketing, so she wasn’t reaching enough people. In fact, barely anyone knew she existed.
By her third session we had put together a package based on her natural brillance. She turned around the next day and sold it, which took care of Brenda’s single hour session problem. We cleared her blocks around selling and making money from her spiritual gifts. Later she doubled her rates and she felt so empowered and excited. We also cleared her blocks around marketing. She attended a networking event and actually enjoyed it.
Brenda was unaware of what she was saying to herself and how that was holding her back.
The first step on your path to freedom is awareness.
If you have a block, become aware of what you are saying to yourself.
“I can’t take money for my God-given gifts.”
“I can’t make money doing this.”
“It won’t happen for me.”
“I refuse to sell.”
“Marketing is icky.”
If you are feeling defeated and discouraged and don’t feel you can make it, listen carefully to what you are telling yourself. Don’t believe every thought you think. What you tell yourself, you sell yourself. Challenge your thoughts. They may be what is standing in the way of you feeling the joy of being on purpose and making the important contribution you are here to make.
