Sometimes the Best Thing to do is Walk Away

Sheri was trying so hard to figure out how to do alleviate the tug of feeling overwhelmed, pinched for time and doing a good job at work. One day she was particularly feeling intense pressure and stress as her to do list seemed to be growing before her eyes. She decided to keep plugging away, working harder and longer hours in an attempt to catch up and get things done. She started to go to bed later and later so she could spend more time trying to finish up the projects that were looming overhead. Instead of feeling better, she felt worse. Her stress and anxiety grew.

The frenzy was beginning to catch up with her health. Sheri was having a much more difficult time getting going in the morning. Even after several cups of coffee, she was tired. She started to feel down, wondering why she couldn’t keep going like she used to. She began to feel discouraged.

Instead of taking a step back to regroup, Sheri was used to working harder, so she poured herself into her work more, thinking that would solve the problem. She seemed to be at a loss for innovative ideas she was used to getting to solve the problems at hand. She couldn’t figure out why. When she finally hit the wall; emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted, she came to me ready for change. She learned how to partner with her Angels and Divine Team. They began to bring her solutions and ideas that supported her boundaries, projects and decision making. She learned how to honor and work with her energy and use her gifts. She started to breathe again and create pockets of spaciousness in her schedule. She was inspired to take better care of her body and support her physical health with good nutrition. She got back on top of her life and her to do list prioritizing and doing the things that mattered most.

Here are some key things to help you when you feel you’ve hit a ‘wall’:

When you are stuck in your head trying to figure something out is the time to let go. I know that can seem counterintuitive, but when you hand it over to your Angels and walk away, you surrender your resistance to allow solutions to flow into your awareness.

When you are in fight or flight mode, feeling stressed and anxious, the frontal lobe of your brain slows down and your primitive brain takes over. When your brain is stressed, you feel disconnected and unable to receive new solutions. Take a few deep, cleansing breaths and a walk around the block to help you reset your energy. Additionally, when you move your body, it actually moves stuck energy opening you to new possibilities.

When your body is giving you signs something isn’t working, pay attention. It is one way you receive your Higher Guidance. Your body is a finely tuned instrument, which houses your beautiful spirit. Honoring and caring for it will help you feel and function better and connect more easily to your Angels and Divine Team.
